Children in the Wilderness Zimbabwe has finally entered phase three of the construction of a classroom block at Lesedi Primary School, the home stretch, thanks to the generosity of Grand Circle Foundation (GCF) and guests of Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT). After some delays in acquiring the materials and securing a builder to complete the work, the roof of the new classroom block is now up.
Located 14 kilometres from the town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, the school was founded in 2014 and has been steadily growing year by year, to cater for a growing number of students and provide the children of the surrounding area – Ntabayengwe Village – with a quality education.
This year, there is now a Grade 6 class, as the Grade 5s from 2019 have graduated. In 2021 the current Grade 6s will become Grade 7s, so the additional classrooms will soon be occupied, with the increase in learners.
