The Top 100 will have access to a one-year leadership development programme aimed at enabling them to have the knowledge and skills to improve the design of their initiatives, implementation models, community engagement, networking and resource mobilisation. The programme will give the Top 100 access to mentorship from industry leaders in nature and wildlife conservation.
Meet Agnes Tjirare
Born and bred in Namibia, Agnes Tjirare has been with Wilderness Safaris for nearly 13 years. As a driven and ambitious individual, she has successfully moved up the ranks from working as a waitress in a camp to currently serving as the Children in the Wilderness (CITW) and Community Engagement Administrator in Namibia. Aline Umutoni’s deep commitment to conservation and community empowerment has taken her from strength to strength, and motivated her to positively contribute to the lives of many. In September 2019, she was promoted to Wilderness Safaris Rwanda – Children in the Wilderness (CITW) and Community Coordinator, giving her the ideal platform to continue driving the company’s commitment to making a positive impact to conservation and community empowerment.
