Kinyarwanda is the national language spoken in Rwanda. Swahili, French and English are also spoken.

Q: What do I wear on a safari in Akagera National Park?

The wet season is cool, so a warm jacket is essential. Bring a hat and light clothing, and closed shoes should you want to go on a guided walk. Whites and solid brights stand out in the wild, so choose fewer items, in softer shades of khaki, brown or grey. And of course, don’t forget the sunscreen, a hat and binoculars.

Q: How many lions are there in Akagera National Park?

Across the park, there are currently around 40 lions , Some 100 or so leopards, 85 Masai giraffes and 133 elephants.

Q: What activities are offered at Magashi?
