Toka Leya has a featherlight footprint on the environment. The airy and luxurious lounge, dining area, bar and pool deck, and 12 generous tented suites, are raised on wooden decks so as not to disturb the parade of wildlife. All offer wondrous views over the Zambezi River and the local hippos, crocs and elephants coming to drink. Three of the suites are family units with an extra bedroom.

"Toka Leya is located directly on the Zambezi River and is an ideal location for someone wanting a safari experience with access to The Victoria Falls. This was our fourth visit to Toka Leya and it is always a favourite. The “tents” are huge and provide very comfortable accommodations. If you are a family, you can ask for a family tent which will sleep 4 people. They offer game drives (although this is not the best place for game), boat rides, fishing, village tours and tours to the Victoria Falls. You cal also arrange to visit Ebenezer Child Care Trust, a local orphanage and school. They also have a pizza oven and they make great pizza along with their other food offerings. The Zambezi river boat trips allow for great birding, hippos sightings and even elephants."

Great experience away from the crowds

"Excellent safari experience. My family also stayed in 2 other Luxury Lodges in Zambia and South Africa which were at a different price point (you can read those reviews if you like). What set this lodge apart were the modern accommodations, air conditioning and the friendly staff. Right on the banks of the Zambezi River with easy access to Falls. Forewarning.... Victoria Falls has "a lot" of tourists and at times I felt like I was in a Disney Park. Toka Leya is far away from these crowds thank goodness. The food was very good but just a step below excellent (compared to the other 2 camps we stayed at). The safari drives to visit the White Rhinos should not be missed and of course, spend the morning at Victoria Falls. Shout out to our wonderful guide and the entire staff. You made our trip very special and we look forward to our return"

"We found Toka Leya as part of a honeymoon package with Go2Africa. I have never even imagined such a magical, wonderful place. Our transfer from the airport was smooth, we were greeted by the concierge upon arrival, and shown to our gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous cabin. We had sunset and sunrise cruises, land game drive, walking tour to Victoria Falls, AND a helicopter tour of Victoria Falls. I'm vegan and had TONS of delicious options. I loved my massage in the spa with the sound of the mighty Zambezi behind me. We had TWO bedroom services each day, TWO outdoor bubble baths drawn for us during our stay, laundry service, and such a kind and knowledgeable guide for our adventures. I wish that we had stayed for a full week or longer."
